Puffy eyes are the condition in which the sensitive region around the eyes looks swollen and dull. Puffy eyes are also common problem of people. The major causes of puffy eyes may be due to late nights, heredity factors, allergies stress and more salt intakes.

The main cause of puffy eyes is lack of sleep.

Home remedies for puffy eyes:
(1)Dehydration is also one of the major causes of puffy eyes. When a person is dehydrated the body starts storing water as a defense system and puffy eyes will occur. So, I suggest you to drink 8-10 glasses of water daily.

(2)Fluid retention is one of the common causes of puffy eyes. When you sleep in your stomachs then fluid can easily be stored under your eyes. Overnight fluids in your body go to the head and cannot circulate properly. So, sleep with your heads slightly raised.

(3)Cucumber and potato are one of the most popular and easiest remedy to get rid of puffiness of your eyes. Slice two pieces of cucumber or potato and place in your eyes for about 15-20 minutes. It not only decreases the puffiness of the eye but also lightens the skin as well.

(4)Fill a small bowl with ice water or ice-cold milk. Soak a cottonwood pad with the liquid and lie down and place the damp pads over your eyes. As soon as the pads become warm replace them. Continue for 15 minutes. As well as reducing puffiness, this treatment will brighten the whites of your eyes.

(5)Vitamin A plays a very important role on reducing the puffiness of the eyes so, you should intake Foods containing vitamin A. The best sources of this vitamin are carrots, oranges, tomatoes, cabbage etc

(6)Mix aloe vera gel along with vitamin E oil. And then pat the mixture around and under the eyes before going to bed. This mixture also prevents crow’s feet and fine lines under the eyes.
