Aging And It's Major Causes

Aging is a natural process. It happens to all at some point of the life. For some it happens early and for some it happens late. The process of aging of your skin depends on different factors like your lifestyle, habits, foods you eat and others. When you get all these things right then you can also delay the process of aging. So, it is also very important for you to know the main factors that accelerate the aging process so that you can make necessary corrections in your lifestyle.

Here are some major factors that causes to aging skin and make you look older than your years;

(1) SMOKING
Everyone knows that smoking is injurious to health but only few people know that smoking damages your skin as well. Smoking cigarettes accelerates the aging process. It has been scientifically proved that smoking as well as exposure of skin to cigarette smoke significantly increases skin wrinkles and dryness. When you smoke vitamin c of your body is depleted. Vitamin c is the key ingredient for keeping the skin elastic and hydrated. Lack of vitamin C will significantly cause increase in dryness of skin and wrinkles.

(2) SUN EXPOSURE
Over exposure to the sun is also one of the major causes of aging. Unprotected sun exposure is very harmful for your skin.
Different kinds of skin problems like sun spots, dryness, and wrinkles are caused due to overexposure to the sun. So if you want to avoid premature aging then you should never forget to use sunscreen with SPF of 15 or higher before going out in the sun. You may think that it is not necessary to wear sunscreen in a cloudy day but clouds do not protect you from UV ray exposure. So, you should wear sunscreen even in cloudy days.

(3) LACK OF SLEEP
Lack of sleep makes us look and feel tired. Lack of sleep is also one of the major causes of aging. Your face is one of the first places where lack of sleep shows up. When your body lacks sleep then problems like dark circles under eyes and wrinkles may appear in your face. Your facial skin will look dull and tired when your body lacks sleep. According to researchers an adult person needs 8-9 hours of sleep each night. But your busy schedule may not let you to sleep that long. So, you can develop a sleep schedule and try to sleep at least 7 hours each night. It will be beneficial for you and your skin.

(4) STRESS
Stress is also one of the major causes of premature aging. Stress makes you frown, and after a while the muscles in your face conform to that movement. Where there is a frown there is a wrinkled forehead. Different kinds of facial expression like continuous squinting, frowning can also increase wrinkles in your face. You should try your best to control the stress. You should also control those facial expressions that harm your skin. Different techniques like yoga or simple relaxation techniques can help you to control the stress. Simple breathing technique such as inhaling and exhaling deep breathe is also one of the great stress buster techniques.

(5) EXPOSURE TO COLD WEATHER
Cold weather also accelerates aging of the skin by making skin dry.
So, you should use a good moisturizer during winter season. You should also consider using a humidifier at home as well as at the office. Do not forget to use moisturizer indoors as well because heated room can be drying to skin. Moisturizer is not necessary for those who have oily skin.
